We are delighted to announce that Professional Energy People (PEP) has become a Patron of Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber, joining a respected network of 23 organisations committed to supporting and championing business across the region.

We have been a member of the Chamber for the past decade, steadily increasing our involvement to support collaboration, growth and long-term sustainability within the local business community.

As the Chamber approved energy partner, we have helped members save thousands of pounds through expert contract reviews and competitive energy procurement. We also support CCL relief claims and provide Energy Management and sustainability services to reduce costs and carbon emissions.

Becoming a Patron represents the next step in our long-standing relationship with the Chamber and reflects a shared ambition to drive economic growth and opportunity across Barnsley and Rotherham. We are proud to strengthen our partnership and to play a more active role in helping shape the Chamber’s work and priorities.

Shane Young, Operations Director at Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber, commented:

“We are incredibly excited to welcome Professional Energy People as our latest Patron. Growing our Patron community to 23 is a fantastic milestone and demonstrates the strength and value of the network we are building. PEP has been a committed member for many years, and this step further strengthens our relationship. PEP have recently moved offices to the Manvers area, which demonstrates their growth plans. We look forward to working even more closely with Linda and the team as we continue to support and represent businesses across our region.”

The Chamber’s Patron community plays a vital role in shaping its work, providing leadership, insight and support to help drive economic growth and opportunity across Barnsley and Rotherham. The addition of PEP further enhances this influential group and reinforces the Chamber’s mission to be the voice of local business.

Linda Spencer, Managing Director of Professional Energy People, said:

“We are delighted to become a Patron of the Chamber and to further strengthen a long-standing and valued relationship. As the Chamber’s preferred energy supplier for members, we work closely with businesses to deliver expert energy procurement, risk management and strategic advice, alongside practical support on net zero, carbon reduction and ESG objectives.
Becoming a Patron reflects our continued investment in the region and our commitment to helping businesses reduce costs, improve resilience and plan for a more sustainable future.
Our recent move to Manvers marks an exciting phase of growth for PEP, and we look forward to collaborating with the Chamber and fellow Patrons to support sustainable economic growth and long-term success across Barnsley and Rotherham.”

We are proud to take this step as part of our ongoing journey and look forward to working even more closely with the Chamber and its Patron community to support businesses across the region.
