We’re excited to share an opportunity that could make a real difference for community organisations across our region.
The Northern Powergrid Foundation is now inviting applications for its Autumn Round of Community Grants. These grants, ranging from £1,000 to £20,000, are designed to support projects that strengthen community energy resilience in Northeast England, Yorkshire, and North Lincolnshire.
What’s the focus this round?
This funding round is all about helping communities prepare for and manage energy challenges. Grants are available for projects such as:
· Installing solar panels and battery storage at community hubs.
· Supporting the creation or expansion of community spaces - from village halls to parish halls - that provide safe, warm, and reliable places during power outages or emergency events.
Who can apply?
Applications are welcome from:
· Parish councils
· Village halls
· Community hubs and centres
· Community associations, trusts, and partnerships
The deadline for applications is 13 October 2025.
